Privacy Policy

Last updated: 03/11/2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains what data Megan's Page collects, why, how long it is kept, who processes it, and your rights regarding it.

2. Contact Form

When you send a message through the contact form, we collect your name, email address and message, to reply to you.

The message is forwarded to us by email; it is not stored in our database. It stays in our mailbox for as long as needed to handle your request.

To block spam, the contact page uses Google reCAPTCHA, which analyses your browser and interactions with the page and may set cookies. Its use is subject to Google's Privacy Policy and Terms of Service. reCAPTCHA is only loaded on the contact page.

3. Newsletter

If you subscribe to new post notifications, we store your email address, the post you subscribed from, and the dates of your subscription and confirmation. Your subscription only starts once you confirm it from the email we send you.

Every notification contains an unsubscribe link. Once you unsubscribe, you no longer receive any email; you can also ask us to delete your address entirely through the contact form.

4. Comments, Likes and Views

Comments are public: the name and message you enter are shown under the post. They are kept until removed; you can ask for removal through the contact form.

Likes and view counts are anonymous: we do not store your IP address or any identifier with them.

5. Cookies, Local Storage and Analytics

We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

  • - Audience measurement: we use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits without cookies and without storing personal identifiers.
  • - Local storage: your browser remembers on your device which posts you liked and whether you subscribed to the newsletter. This data never leaves your device unless you like or unlike a post.
  • - Google reCAPTCHA may set cookies on the contact page (see section 2).
  • - Sign-in cookies are only used for the site administrator.

6. Service Providers

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. It is only processed by the providers that run the website:

  • - Vercel: hosting, audience measurement and image storage.
  • - Our database provider: storage of newsletter subscriptions and comments.
  • - Resend: sending emails (contact messages, newsletter).
  • - Google: reCAPTCHA on the contact page.

Some of these providers are based in the United States. Transfers rely on the safeguards they provide, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses.

7. Legal Bases

  • - Newsletter and comments: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
  • - Contact form: your request, to reply to it.
  • - Audience measurement and spam protection: our legitimate interest in running and protecting the website.

8. Your Rights

You can access, correct or delete your data, object to its processing, and withdraw your consent at any time, by writing to us through the contact form.

You can also lodge a complaint with your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This policy may be updated periodically. Any changes will be posted on this page and reflected in the "last updated" date.
